Xfm tonight published an apology after their article describing the trouble Black Kids were having with producer Bernard Butler.
Butler is producing the Florida band’s debut album. Butler has worked with a wide range or artists from The Libertines and Cajun Dance Party to The Pretenders and The View.
When asked about progress on their album, Black Kids said: “Its coming, painfully, but surely. It seems like every track is a big fight, conflict, bloodshed, tears. Bernard Butler has to re-record everything, once we lay it down. He is no joy to work with either. It’s all going downhill with this album… straight off the path”
Publicly Xfm has removed links to the article, as has NME, Digital Spy etc.
The apology reads:
“Xfm would like to clarify that Black Kids comments in a previous news story that they were unhappy with the progress of their debut album were 100% tongue in cheek and we would like to apologise for any offence caused by this article.”
