This week a brand new live music venue opens in Folkestone, Kent.
The Quarter House is a new contemporary building designed by RIBA award winning architect Alison Brooks and sits in the heart of the towns creative quarter. The venue is officially opened on Thursday and will then host a month long series of gigs.
Kicking of Music Month this Friday 6th March will be BBC Kent Introducing’s First Birthday Party. Jim, Tom and Jacob from the show will host a night of Kent bands that have featured on the radio show over the past 12 months including Seven Story Down, Elephants, Nick Harrison, Tom Williams & The Boat and many more.
Then over the weeks that follow, the venue will play host to a wide variety of nights ranging from hip hop to salsa and will include the final of Sellinge Music Festivals talent quest which will see one band win a slot on their mainstage this summer.
