I Feel Sorry For Michael Jackson

AEG Live, the promoters for Michael Jackson’s o2 residency, have much to be worried about. They have booked a 50 year old performer who hasn’t played a big tour in 12 years to play 50 dates spread across 7 months. They’ve struggled to arrange insurance and had the basic legality of their booking challenged on two separate occasions. They are also having to deal with London Underground suspending the key Jubilee Line service on the same dates as some of the gigs. If that’s not enough there are rumours that the delayed start of the residency is down to Jackson’s health not being up to scratch. To top it all off, Michael Jackson himself is reported to have been “angry” at being booked for 50 shows when he only knew about 10. AEG must wonder what they are getting themselves into.
Since his HIStory World Tour in 1996 he has played several one off gigs, including one for the Sultan Of Brunei, but nothing even close that could prepare him for what he’s been signed up for.

How creepy is this post?
