Another Scarlett Johansson Album?

This is good news. Last year she released an album of Tom Waits covers called “Anywhere I Lay My Head”. The album as a whole was a masterpiece with a mix of subtle understated singing over a heavily produced track. It was brilliant. Now, according to nme.com she has recorded an album with signer-songwriter Pete Yorn.
Bloody hell, I’ve had a listen to Relator, the first single, at www.thebreakupalbum.com and what a revelation. On her other album, she was as flat as a pancake (or she was drowned out by the production). On this single she sounds like Johansson crossed with Winehouse. It is a pleasure to listen to.
The album is out in the US on September 8th. Now word on a UK release yet.
‘Relator’, the single you mentioned, is on iTunes . It’s good, however I can’t help but imagine her voice becoming any more appealing as the album progresses. Maybe when they are at the point of breaking up she’ll transform into a demon, killing Yorn with nothing but a bitter tongue.
