Pete Doherty’s new solo single Last Of The English Roses is released tomorrow, March 9th a week before his solo LP, Grace/Wastelands.
Unburdened by his band Pete is able to amble along seemingly without a care in the world. In this song he’s reminiscing about the past with his usual drawn out vocal style, a vocal that is reassuringly strong and clear much unlike the scratchy and dishevelled demos Doherty put out in the wake of Libertines.
Here he is confident but still misunderstood Doherty reminding us of his talent for writing and asking us to once more lend him our ears.
The album is out on March 16th.
